After graduating from the School of Design at NC State University with degrees in Architecture and Industrial Design and working in marketing and public relations, Wendy Coulter founded Hummingbird in 1995 with a desire to put her own ideas to work, creatively solving problems for small businesses. With over 25 years of sales and marketing experience and over 20 years of design and branding experience, Wendy’s passion is to help clients more effectively communicate the positioning of their business, differentiate their brand and grow revenue. Wendy is responsible for new business development and is instrumental in developing Big IDEAS for Hummingbird’s clients. A guitar player, marathoner and motorcycle-rider, Dan Gregory is a seasoned entrepreneur who continually strives to help clients improve business results to meet revenue and profitability goals. Dan holds an MBA from Pfeifer University with a focus in International Studies and a BS in Accounting. He has first hand experience in Marketing, Sales & Sales Operations, Human Resources and Finance across diverse business environments, including Start-Up, Expansion, Contraction and Turnaround. This diverse knowledge base helps to uniquely position Hummingbird Creative Group as one of the top branding agencies in the Triangle. A self-proclaimed “paper-hater”, Dan helped implement and maintains the company’s online project management system and serves as Project Manager for many of our clients.
A graduate of the visual communications and design program at Virginia Tech, Mike offers a unique blend of backgrounds in both computer science and visual art. He’s the agency’s “balancer.” His artistic and practical strengths combine to lead the creative team in a collaborative environment with unique visual direction. Mike is an independently motivated, conceptual thinker with strong design skills and a proven record of producing/guiding innovative and creative marketing solutions.
As a college basketball player, Zach learned the importance of hard work, attention to detail, and time management. At the end of his time at Mount Vernon Nazarene University, he graduated with degrees in both Marketing and Graphic Design. After working in Ohio, he moved to Raleigh and joined Hummingbird in June of 2015. His diverse and dynamic skill set has proved invaluable to our team ever since. He is a detail-oriented, life-long learner who spends much of his time helping clients build websites that match their goals and personalities. He’s a WordPress genius and is endowed with a creative flare—which means he can make things both functional and beautiful.
